The MX4, from Seon Design, Inc., offers high resolution and frame rate and with MPEG-4 compression, all four channels can record simultaneously at 30 FPS with D1 (720 x 480) resolution. Designed for customers who require network capabilities, the MX4 represents the next generation DVR. Built-in dual technology allows the recording of two information streams, one designed for hi-res playback on a PC, and the other for real-time viewing over the web or GPRS network. In the event of an emergency, video can be accessed on-line with a cell phone or PDA via a cell network plan to assess the situation. The MX4 is loaded with features designed to reduce the system’s administrative requirements. A new graphical configuration user-interface makes installation quick and easy. The installer need only configure one DVR, copy the settings onto a USB stick, and download those settings to each unit. Easy to use software allows the system administrator to track vehicles and retrieve key details about an incident using video footage synchronized with mapping software, or the option of live tracking.
